Reunion on the beach

Recently some of our pilgrims got together in Darwin.  When thinking about where to meet – the beach soon became the obvious choice. It was nice to be hanging out on a beach again.  We brought a guitar, a BBQ, some meat and salads, some wood to make a fire – and we settled in for a chilled out evening on the beach.  It was nice to catch up and to share some pilgrimage stories with Heather (a WYD 2011 pilgrim who joined us).  We finished the night with some prayer around the fire and each pilgrim was given a candle as a WYD 2013 momento.  To keep the flame burning from our experience into our every day lives.

We prayed for all those that helped us along the way, for those we meet, the Brasilian people that touched our hearts and showed us new ways of knowing and loving our God.  We prayed for you, our blog followers.  Thank you for sharing in our pilgrimage.  The pilgrimage of life continues and we continue with joyful hearts.

  1. Wonderful to see the “flame is still burning” – what a great idea to bbq on the beach and with that awesome sunset. Keeping you all in our prayers – as we journey together ! Love J&C xoxo
